UNIC CityLabs Resilient Zagreb: Community vision during and after the crisis

In this session we have discussed following topics: 1. In what ways is a positive and encouraging vision of the future shared during the crisis? How do local stakeholders raise the level of ambition that Zagreb will be a better, safer, more inclusive city after the crisis? 2. Who and in what way contributes to the spiritual and psychological empowerment of citizens?

Brief description of the results/findings On a positive side we can conclude following: • Need to speak out and care for the mental health was quickly recognized • There was a high level of solidarity and certain vulnerable social groups were involved as helpers (eg migrants and refugees). However from the point of inadequate resilience capacities, there is a lack of focus on the future and there is a risk of potential stigmatization of the city as a disaster-stricken city
