EDULEARN23 is the 15th International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies which took place in Palma (Spain) on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of July, 2023.
The International Conference EDULEARN23 has been gathering renowned lecturers, experts, and technologists in the field of education for fifteen years to discuss contemporary methodologies of learning and teaching, as well as the use of new technologies. Additionally, the EDULEARN23 conference provides an opportunity to present projects and innovations in education and technology, as well as international strategic networking. The establishment of the European University of Post-Industrial Cities (UNIC) is an innovative project aimed at enhancing education and research through inter-European collaboration, developing an inclusive society, and promoting mobility and diversity, with a particular emphasis on promoting the principles of multilingualism and interculturality. Taking into account the European Strategy for Multilingualism, the UNIC alliance has recognized the need for language learning by creating Online Language Modules (OLMs) through various e-learning systems. Assistant professor Antonia Ordulj from the University of Zagreb, one of the authors of the Croatian module within the UNIC project, delivered a presentation on the online module for the Croatian language.
The presentation titled "Online Language Module Learn Croatian!" at the EDULEARN23 conference focused on the following:
It is evident that the presentation's topic aligns perfectly with the conference's profile as it addresses modern methods of acquiring foreign languages through the use of new technologies. Presenting at the international conference EDULEARN23 will contribute to better visibility and recognition of the UNIC project within European and global contexts, fostering idea exchange and networking, promoting the learning of Croatian as a foreign language, and presentation of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Zagreb, and the University of Zagreb.
