Over the course of three days of bite-sized presentations, we examined how integrating green spaces into urban environments contributed to creating sustainable, inclusive, and smart cities. In doing so, we also discussed how such approaches could support circular urban systems and strengthen city branding, an aspect that Martin de Jong explored by weighing its pros and cons. Through these sessions, we aimed to highlight how thoughtfully designed green spaces could both enhance a city’s overall attractiveness and foster better physical and mental health among its residents.
