Registration Open for the Global Design Challenge for Sport and Physical Activity 2022

A worldwide search for ambitious, innovative ideas to get people physically active is to be launched by University College Cork, in association with Sport Ireland and with UNESCO patronage - with incubation prizes for the best ideas.

The grand challenge is to design innovative ways of increasing participation in sport and physical activity in an inclusive, sustainable and fun way!

Registration is now open, with the challenge running from 10-14th October 2022.

UNIC European University CityLabs are supporting the formation of international UNIC teams to participate in the Global Design Challenge. Start gathering your UNIC team now and enter this initiative to find innovative ideas to get people physically active.

UNIC teams will be eligible for the main award as well as a dedicated UNIC incubation award delivered by IGNITE, an internal award winning start-up incubation programme based at University College Cork, Ireland, and that has worked with over 150 start-up founders to develop new start-up ideas.

UNIC Teams should include participants from at least two of the UNIC Universities. Partners from across the UNIC European University interested in forming international UNIC teams can contact ciara.ohalloran@ucc.ie.
