The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb is launching a Gender study

The Gender Studies will be launched at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb after the completion of the accreditation process. In its basics, the study nurtures topics related to diversity and different identity groups (be it along the lines of gender, racial, sexual, national, ethnic determinants, mobility problems, etc.), especially bearing in mind the shift from an industrial to a financial society. The topic of social and class inclusion, relations between society, the economy and the state, issues of public and common goods, as well as social services in general are an integral part of the whole series of courses at Gender Studies, especially in the fields of philosophy, sociology, psychology, anthropology, history, comparative studies, ethnology, but also numerous language groups that in different ways examine and analyze the absence of women from the main historical narratives, including the post-industrial context. Topics of superdiversity and social inclusion are represented to a greater extent within the entire program, but even more so in the context of specific, individual courses, such as: Feminist Theory, Gender History, Philosophy of Gender and Feminist Theories, Feminist Theories and Movements, History of the Body and Sexuality , Postcolonialism and Gender, Queer Linguistics, Psychology of Sexuality, etc.
