UNIC Superdiversity School: An Integral Approach to Superdiversity in Higher Education

Are you interested in equity, diversity and inclusion, or are you already working on this topic as part of your daily job? Join the UNIC Superdiversity School: An integral approach to superdiversity in higher education, highlighting HR and research aspects.

Erasmus University Rotterdam hosts the second UNIC Superdiversity School from 9 - 14 March 2022.


Within the scope of the UNIC Superdiversity Academy, UNIC institutions organise three-day UNIC Superdiversity schools that provide trainings to higher education staff.


This superdiversity school will focus on the theme An integral approach to superdiversity in higher education, highlighting HR and research aspects and include the following sessions:

  • Wednesday, 9 March 2022 | 10:00 - 12:00 CET | An Integral Approach to Diversity and Inclusion Within an Academic Organisation
     This session is hosted by Prof. dr. Semiha Denktaş. Prof. dr. Semiha Denktaş is a full professor, vice-dean research of School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, and Chief Diversity Officer of Erasmus University Rotterdam.

  • Thursday, 10 March 2022 | 10:00 - 12:00 CET | Improving Diversity and Inclusivity Among Employees
    This interactive workshop is hosted by Dr. Gwen de Bruin and Dr. Katarina Putnik. Dr. Gwen de Bruin is the Diversity and Inclusion Manager or Erasmus University Rotterdam. Dr. Katarina Putnik is Senior HR Diversity and Inclusion Policy Advisor at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

  • Monday, 14 March 2022 | 13:00 - 14:30 CET | Including Diversity and Inclusion Elements in Research & Reflections on Lessons Learned
    The session is hosted by Prof. dr. Semiha Denktaş. Semiha Denktaş is a full professor, vice-dean research of School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, and Chief Diversity Officer of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
