You are warmly invited to the (Globally) Engaged Early Career Researcher Forum (ECR FORUM) "The Art of Engaged Scholarship: Engaged Research on Academic Freedom from the Perspective of (Female) Early Career Researchers" which will take place online (via Zoom) on 25 April 2022, 4pm to 5pm (CET).
Moderated by prof. Claudia Jahner, Ruhr University Bochum and Charlotte Ruitinga, Erasmus University Rotterdam, the (Globally) Engaged Early Career Researcher Forum brings together -for the first time- engaged Early Career Researchers from around the world (including from Germany, Pakistan and Ukraine), who not only conduct research on Academic Freedom and related topics, but whose scholarly engagement goes far beyond research and extends to different types of public engagement. They will share with us and reflect upon their personal motivations, experiences as well as challenges and risks that they are facing as (globally) engaged (female) scholars.
In addition to this, research support mechanisms (including fellowhips) for globally engaged Early Career Researchers will be discussed, for example, the UNIC4Engaged Research Programme.
The ECR Forum is part of the new Scholars at Risk Public Lecture Series at Ruhr University as well as of the first ever European Scholars at Risk Advocacy Days 2022, that are jointly convened by the Scholars at Risk Networ (SAR), the SAR Advocacy Seminar at Ruhr University Bochum as well as other SAR Advocacy Seminars at universities across Europe.
