This workshop is organised in collaboration with the European University Alliance ‘Circle U’, with partners based in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, and Serbia. It introduces university educators to Virtual Exchange (VE) as an innovative pedagogical method, enabling students to collaborate across borders in authentic intercultural projects.

In this workshop, you’ll explore how to co-plan and teach with Virtual Exchange, integrating it into your course design. VE involves online collaboration between students from different cultural contexts, guided by their educators, and as part of their course work. You’ll engage with fellow educators from across Europe, learning how to tailor VE to your disciplinary needs and teaching style.

Key Learning Outcomes:
After completing this workshop, you will be able to:
• Explain the potential learning outcomes of Virtual Exchanges.
• Plan and run Virtual Exchange projects in your courses.
• Utilize materials and examples to inspire your own VE activities.
• Establish connections with educators from other countries to form potential Virtual Exchange partnerships.

Why Attend?
This workshop is an opportunity to develop international teaching practices, allowing your students to experience meaningful intercultural collaboration. The course focuses on integrating VE into your course syllabus, constructing collaborative tasks, and supporting students throughout the exchange. You’ll benefit from networking with educators from various institutions, laying the groundwork for future collaborations.

Important Details:
Attendance at all four sessions is required. A Zoom link will be sent via email. Registration will close when 50 participants are reached. If registering within one week of the event, please send an email for confirmation.
